Custom Links, Schedule Updates, and Layout Improvements
A new StreamSlate update is now live, bringing more flexibility to public pages, new ways to communicate schedule changes, and several layout/navigation improvements across the app.
This update is part of the ongoing work to make StreamSlate more useful for streamers while keeping changes manageable, stable, and easy to build on. Instead of jumping straight into massive features all at once, the focus is on shipping smaller improvements that make the app better now while laying the groundwork for what comes next.
What’s New
Custom Links
StreamSlate public pages now support custom links.
Previously, streamers were limited to a small set of social media links. With this update, you can add more of the links that actually matter to your stream and community, such as:
- Merch
- Throne
- Donation pages
- Other stream-related links
This should make your StreamSlate page more flexible and less limited to only a few preset social platforms.
Schedule Updates
Schedule Updates are now available.
This feature is a first step toward solving a question I’ve been thinking about since early in the project: how should streamers communicate schedule changes?
Maybe you have upcoming time off. Maybe your stream time changed. Maybe a stream was cancelled.
StreamSlate can now keep track of schedule-related updates and gives you control over what gets published to your public page. The goal is to make schedule changes clearer for viewers and visitors while still letting the streamer decide exactly what should be shown.
Layout and Navigation Updates
There have also been layout changes across the app.
Some areas of the dashboard have been reorganized, navigation has been cleaned up, and Profile and Appearance have been combined into one page. Public StreamSlate pages have also been adjusted to better support custom links and improve how schedules display across different screen sizes, especially on mobile.
These changes are not meant to be a full redesign, but you may notice that a few things have moved around or look a little different. The goal is to make StreamSlate easier to use now while giving future features a better place to live.
Why These Changes Matter
A lot of the work in this update is about making StreamSlate easier to expand without making the app feel messy or fragile.
Custom links make public pages more useful right away. Schedule Updates start building toward better communication between streamers and their viewers. The layout and navigation changes help make room for those features without turning the app into a tiny UI junk drawer.
More improvements are still planned, but this update is a solid step toward making StreamSlate more flexible, more useful, and more streamer-friendly.
